What is the traditional italian burger
Well… There is no traditional Italian burger dish that is called a “burger.” However, it is possible to find variations of burgers in Italy.
A very popular traditionally made Italian burger, also known as a “Polpetta,” is typically made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. These ingredients are mixed together and formed into patties, which are then grilled or fried. Some variations may also include eggs, milk, or other seasonings.
Why add marinara sauce on top of a burger
Marinara sauce is considered a traditional Italian sauce because it is believed to have originated in Italy, specifically in the coastal regions of Southern Italy, where it was used as a simple sauce for seafood dishes. The name “marinara” comes from the Italian word “marinaro,” which means “mariner,” and is thought to refer to the sauce’s origins with the fishermen and sailors of the region. The sauce is made from simple, readily available ingredients such as tomatoes, garlic, onions, and various herbs and is a staple of Italian cuisine. It is now widely used as a pasta sauce and in many Italian-American dishes as well. Because this recipe is called the Italian burger we need to put the most Italian things on there.
