Dine 909: New restaurants open in Calimesa, Loma Linda, Montclair and Yucaipa

Fire Rock Burgers & Brews is now a chain, with a new location in Calimesa.

The eatery is in the 10 Freeway-adjacent The Marketplace at Calimesa, 1040 Cherry Valley Blvd.

True to its name, the restaurant serves gourmet burgers — and yes, you can substitute with chicken breast, turkey, a garden patty or a Beyond Meat patty — and a decent selection of beer on tap and in cans and bottles.

The menu also offers a variety of appetizers, salads and sides.

Fire Rock offers a handful of desserts, including beer shakes.

A “Mini Rockers” menu is also available and kids can design their own guitar pick on the back of the menu.

For those who are not beer fans, wine and hard cider, kombucha and seltzer are available, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

The original location remains at 618 Pine Knot Ave., Suite B, Big Bear Lake.

Both locations are open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Open in Loma Linda

Chicken Tikka Masala Express has opened at 25685 Redlands Blvd., Suite B, Loma Linda.

The location was formerly a Subway, and the owners have apparently taken the former establishment’s “$5 Footlong” promotion to heart, offering plates of Indian food for just $5.

The restaurant opened just before Christmas.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

New in Montclair

Hercules Burgers has opened at 4370 Holt Blvd., Montclair.

The restaurant has an expansive menu.

In addition to a variety of burgers, Hercules offers salads and breakfast and dinner plates, as well as Mexican and Greek items.

The location was formerly Larry’s Burgers.

It appears to be part of a small chain with a handful of locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Now in Yucaipa

Two more eateries are open now at the Yucaipa Pointe shopping center, detailed here earlier this month.

Panera Bread and Five Guys are open, joining  Jack in the Box, Cookie Co. and Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Panera Bread is at 31605 Yucaipa Blvd. Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Five Guys is at 31495 Yucaipa Blvd., Unit 3. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

On the move

The Supreme Plate has closed, but it will be back.

The restaurant, which specializes in Creole seafood, is moving from Rancho Cucamonga to Upland.

The new, as yet undisclosed location is expected to open in February 2023.

Another location

The El Parrillazo food truck is branching out.

In addition to its location at 286 W. Foothill Blvd, Rialto, the operators now have a second truck at 4444 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.

The trucks specialize in birria.

Vegan Sundays returns

I.E. Vegan Sundays continues into the new year.

The next event is set for noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023 at 478 N. D Street, San Bernardino.

The events feature a variety of vegan food and products.

They also feature a beer garden, music and giveaways.

Upcoming events are planned for Jan. 15 and 29.
