You’d think that as a restaurateur, best-selling cookbook author, mom of three, and wife to an NBA all-star, Ayesha Curry’s calendar would be jam-packed with fancy dinners and exclusive events at this time of year. And while that might be true, Curry does the holidays a lot like the rest of us: she likes to chill out. “Our family loves a good matching PJ set,” she shares. Come Christmas morning, her kitchen will smell of freshly brewed coffee and pancakes, and in the evening, she’s focused on being surrounded by loved ones and mixing up her favorite cocktails. Of course, for all that to happen, she has to set the scene first.
The Kitchen Tool I Use the Most
A cocktail shaker! I love whipping up craft drinks for my guests—it adds such a fun element to a party.
My Go-To Glassware
This collection has the perfect glass for every holiday drink —from my espresso martini (with tequila) to a decanter for water, each piece adds an elegant touch to celebratory gatherings. I like to have lots of options already set out on the table so the drinks can progress with the meal.
My Secret to a Speedy Clean-Up
I live by the clean-as-you-go approach to cooking so that when you sit down to eat, half of your dishes are already done. I also love using serveware as storage by just popping on some foil or reusable bowl covers.
The Dish I Can’t Wait to Whip Up
At home, the go-to family favorites are my extra cheesy mac and cheese and my crab bucatini, but this year I’m also excited to lean into some flavorful vegetarian entrees.
How I Set the Table
I love working with luxe neutrals and simple touches like golden chargers or napkin rings and then I bring the outdoors in with wintery greenery by trimming some sculptural branches from the garden to serve as a centerpiece. I also love lighting up unscented or flameless candles around the dinner table to add a warm glow.
