The countdown to 2023 has begun.

North Texas spots are planning late-night parties and Champagne toasts on New Year’s Eve, and there are New Year’s Day brunches for those who prefer to skip the parties — or just want to keep the celebration going.

Most places recommend reservations.

Al Biernat’s

The Dallas steakhouse will ring in the new year with prime aged steaks and seafood on New Year’s Eve from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. During the last seating, the restaurant will pass out party hats, tiaras, noisemakers and complimentary glasses of Champagne.
