The holidays are the perfect time to show those you love how much you care through truly thoughtful gifts. Don’t be daunted by gluten-free or other dietary restrictions — your friends and family would almost certainly still love kitchen gadgets or other fun things that might make their culinary life easier. This Gluten Free Gift Guide is designed to help!
I’ve curated 35 thoughty and nice items I’d love to receive in my stocking (hint hint) or I just went ahead and bought for myself because they’re awesome, and I think your loved ones would dig them, too.*
I’ve done my best Mrs. Claus for you and updated my popular Gluten Free Gift Guide with a new version this year, but feel free to check out my older gift guide version because those gifts really never go out of style.
Gluten Free Gift Guide 2022
Gluten Free Beer, delivered to their door!
There are so many tasty brews out now, why not send a sampler to a friend? So thoughtful, right? (Auroch’s Naturally Gluten Free Christmas Ale pictured above)
Note that some states are more Scroog-y than others when it comes to allowing the delivery of alcohol, so be sure to check the laws before you get your heart set on this great gift. The breweries will know if this is something they will be able to make happen for you. My Gluten Free Beer Tasting Notes post is a great place to start to find the beer that’s right for your special someone.
If beer isn’t their thing, hard seltzers and spiked lemonade are other fizzy options.
Or opt for a variety pack of ALT-tails. How festive is that? And that way everyone can partake of the fun. NOPE – 0% alcohol Alt-tails offer enticing flavors like Mango Margarita with Jalapeño and Strawberry Basil Smash. Gluten-free, vegan, no artificial flavors or sweeteners. How thoughtful.
Personalized Drinkware & Boards
I was introduced to Well Told Design this year, and my Chapel Hill stemless wineglass quickly became my favorite. Dear Santa, I would like a matching set.
Actually, even better would be a glass with an etched map from every of my school towns. I’m sure you could think of all kinds of nifty gift ideas, too. The best thing about Well Told is that they do what they’re told. And they etch it on wine glasses, mason jars, copper mugs, insulated tumblers, champagne flutes, pint glasses … you get the idea. Check out the site and just try not to go crazy.
While we’re on the topic of personalization, one of my all-time favorite companies is Words with Boards. I’m in good company, since Oprah chose it as one of her “favorite things” a few years ago.
Kim and Mike founded this company in 2013 in Baltimore with the idea that their products would be both thoughtful and functional. They’ve added to that mission that their products would also all be made in America with sustainably harvested American hardwoods. And they plant a tree for every product sold! Oh, and their products are beautiful and totally unique! No other company makes boards like these!
You can have your friend’s name carved into the boards OR you can have “GLUTEN FREE” boldly emblazoned into one of these beauties — carved or laser engraved or both! Whatever you choose. Again, since these are all customized, you design what you like!
They even have stocking stuffers! How cute are these wooden pics, and how handy for potlucks and other meals where it’s really important to know which dishes are safe for the gluten-free folks amongst us?
Words with Boards also offers these food markers in Vegan, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Sugar-Free, Egg-Free, and a variety pack.
Vintage Embossed Rolling Pin
While we’re on the topic of wood … how about this gorgeous wooden rolling pin? (See my unboxing video above)
If your gluten-free friend loves cookies, this would be such a lovely gift! This shop is in Poland and also just released a special addition “Stand with Ukraine” rolling pin.
Wood is notorious for being difficult to really clean, so it’s recommended to get new wooden rolling pins and cutting boards when going gluten free, especially if a pin like this one has lots of nooks and crannies! I bought a carved pin earlier this year and love it — as I say, any excuse for fun new baking tools!
For regular rolling pins, I always suggest using these handy cheesecloth covers which hold gluten-free flour in them, making it easier to roll out any dough without using too much flour, but also keeping the dough from sticking. Hey, another great stocking stuffer idea!
Specialty Cookie Cutters
If Etsy isn’t good for making specialty cookie cutters, I don’t know what it’s good for. I mean, honestly, sending in a pic of your pooch’s face and getting a cookie cutter so you can make gluten-free cookies that look just like him?? Now, that’s what I call a unique gift! Etsy shop link.
Of course, a more traditional but not any less personalized cookie stamp option is just as special.
These cookie stamps can be made to say nearly anything. You could give the gift of the stamp or buy yourself the stamp, make the cookies, and give the gift of gluten free cookies! How’s that for an idea?
Of course, none of these would be possible without the right gluten free cookie dough, so grab my gfJules Gluten Free Cut-Out Cookie Mix while you’re at it. You’ll be happy you did! It makes the perfect cut out cookies without fuss or crumbly cookies, and certainly no gritty gluten-free aftertaste.
Just the perfect sugar cookies that happen to be gluten-free (and even vegan if you wanna). They also hold their shape for things like stamps and cutters!
Gingerbread House Kit
Make your own fun by giving a gingerbread house kit or make the gingerbread house and give that as a gift! Either way, someone’s going to make a memory and the gluten-free gingerbread house (or houses, as the case may be) will last all season long!
Put together a gift set to give by sending a gfJules Gluten Free Graham Cracker/Gingerbread Mix plus Gingerbread House Cutter set and/or Mini Gingerbread House set.
My gfJules Gluten Free Graham Cracker / Gingerbread Mix mix makes plenty of dough to make one large gingerbread house plus plenty of gingerbread men/women or mini gingerbread houses. How fun is that?
Baking Mitts and Tea Towels
I’ll never get enough of these. (Santa if you’re reading this, I’ll say it again: I’ll never get enough of these!) But they have to be funny.
What would actually be funny AND helpful would be to gift a few of these with a side of BurnJel — what every baker truly needs in their stocking and in their kitchen. (Does anyone know if this stuff ever expires?? If so, I’m adding this to my list as well.)
This one’s on my list this year.
And don’t forget the tea towels. I’m not going to show you my favorite ones of those. This is a FAMILY blog, you know?! But you can peek if you wanna.
Baker’s Necklace
A little something more delicate — is that what you had in mind? There are so many fun things available on Etsy!
Here’s just a sample of what you can find. I’m sure you’ll pick just the right gift for your gluten-free baking friend!
As with everything on Etsy, order as early as possible, and if it’s not available in one shop, check another. It may not be exactly the same, but you’re sure to find something creative and unique!
Cast Iron Bread Pan
Cast Iron bakeware is classic and meant to be passed down from generation to generation. But you might want to start over when it comes to baking gluten free in your cookware, depending on how scratched and worn it is, particularly with ironware which isn’t meant to be washed in a dishwasher.
I purchased this cast iron bread pan and have baked many a gluten free loaf in it already, so I can attest both to its beauty and to how well it bakes! Cast iron is known for even heat distribution, and the dark finish helps create a nice crust. I love this pan and the price is right.
Gluten Free Bread Baking Kit
Everyone wants delicious gluten-free bread in their stocking, right? Ok, what I meant was, everyone wants delicious gluten free bread year-round!
And we’ve all heard the saying, “If you give a man a fish, he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime.” The same holds true with bread, only I daresay I’d rather eat bread every day than a fish! Plus, it’s actually a lot less effort to bake great gluten-free bread than to daily don waders and bait a hook.
But enough about fishing. A gluten-free bread baking gift pack is truly the gift that keeps giving, as it will teach the recipient that they have the power to bake incredible gluten-free bread, plus, they get to eat it!

Bread Machine
While you don’t NEED a bread machine to bake great gluten free bread (see above!) it’s fun to have a machine to do it for you, and it makes it pretty painless to just dump the gluten-free bread mix or ingredients in and push a button!
Check out my reviews for my top recommended bread machines for gluten free bread sandwich loaves. I’ve updated my reviews this year with a brand new mid-priced machine that makes great bread! Lots of great gift choices here!
Kitchen Sprouting Kit
Give the gift of sprouting without breaking the bank! This complete kitchen counter sprout garden comes with everything you need to grow multiple varieties of sprouts, including the sprouting grow trays and organic seed pouches.
Bee-Based Products
Feel good about the gifts you give and about supporting the companies that make them! Waxing Kara was founded by Kara Brook Brown, a Maryland artist, turned beekeeper, committed to creating healthful, nurturing Bee Inspired® goods.
From honey to lip balm to candles, there are all kinds of creative gifts available on her site, like this Farm-to-Body Sack.
Natural Wraps
My daughter gave me a set of beeswax wraps last year for Christmas and I love them! It’s so nice not to have to use petroleum-based wrap for every leftover going into the fridge.
This DIY Beeswax Wrap Kit from NatureBeeWraps takes it one step further, giving your special someone all the tools they need to make their own wraps! Or perhaps you’ll buy the kit for yourself, make the wraps and gift them as a homemade gift? However you choose to gift, it’s a unique and useful way of cleaning up the kitchen with festive colors, all while not contributing to waste. (Finished wraps also available on the site)
The next natural wrap product’s origins isn’t so obvious. This product was sent to me to try by the company and I was so impressed that I had to fit it in somewhere to share with you!
It’s a product called Great Wrap created by a husband and wife duo out of Australia, doing their part to also reduce plastic wrap waste. They devised a way to use food scraps (mostly potato waste from the U.S.) and turn it into clear, stretchable wrap that breaks down in the compost after about 180 days. Isn’t that incredible?
Their mission to end human reliance on petroleum plastics started with this consumer wrap, but it will have an even bigger impact when it’s used as a pallet wrap for food manufacturers like me. Who knows what’s next? But I’m all for starting here! Do your part: buy one for yourself and one for a friend!
Superfood Mushrooms Gift Set
Mushroom everything was the hottest trend coming out of Natural Products Expo this year. Show your loved ones that you’re hip, trendy and thoughtful. Any gift set from Om Superfood Mushrooms would be super cool of you, but the “Stress Less Bundle” definitely has my name on it. I can’t think of anyone on my list who needs more stress in their lives — can you?
Immersion Blender
We use this kitchen tool nearly every day in our kitchen, so I have to include it in this gift guide as a great gift idea for anyone who spends time in the kitchen, particularly if they’re short on storage space. This Braun Immersion Blender is so handy, you may just want to gift it to yourself!
Braun is also a brand that is built to last (trust me, we’ve put ours to the test!), so you shouldn’t be replacing your immersion blender any time soon. It’s worth buying one from a trusted manufacturer so it won’t fall apart or have a weak motor. Use for blending drinks, chopping nuts, mini-mixing, blending, chopping, whisking, crushing, mashing or puréeing.
A Fun New Cookbook
Everyone loves a new cookbook, and this one is super fun. How’s this for an enticing title: The Tequila Diet. Pretty good hook, huh?
Chef Dave Martin (alum of Bravo’s Top Chef) explores Mexican food and drink through tequila — a gluten-free spirit! This brand new book is not likely to be on your loved one’s shelf yet, but it’s destined to make an impact when you gift it.
Nearly every recipe is naturally gluten-free, but the few non-GF recipes like flour tortillas and churros can be made with my gfJules Gluten Free All Purpose Flour (or just use my gluten free Flour Tortilla recipe and gluten free Churros recipes on this site instead).
It’s fun to bake and cook with alcohol as a flavoring (have you tried my gluten free Chocolate Beer Cake?!), and to explore with Chef Martin all the reasons why it enhances flavors and actually offers other benefits. The Tequila Diet is essentially a love letter to tequila; I found it to be creatively written, deliciously photographed and all-around enticing. Plus, I learned a lot about a spirit I’d previously overlooked unless you’d put a margarita in front of me.
